Fishing
Fishing

Fishing in Lake Rottnen — a fishing permit is required and is bought via iFiske.

Lake Rottnen covers just over 3 400 hectares with plenty of islands and headlands, and is a popular water among anglers. There is an abundance of zander, pike and perch, as well as species such as whitefish, burbot, rudd and vendace. A fishing permit is required and is most easily bought online via iFiske. Children and young people up to and including the age of 14 fish for free with spinning rod, ice jig, hook and line, fly, and lures trailed behind a rowing boat — tip-ups, ice bait fishing, trolling and vertical fishing require a separate permit. The fishing is managed by Rottnens fiskevårdsområdesförening, the local fishery conservation association. Current rules, prices and fishing permits can be found on iFiske.

Don't forget to bring swimwear and a change of clothes — one of the bouncy castles has water! For the truly adventurous, there's plenty of space to explore — the woods, the beach, and all those exciting spots that only children ever find.

Swimming beach
Swimming beach

Our own swimming beach with a sandy bottom and a long bathing jetty, a stone's throw from the campsite.

The campsite's swimming beach sits right on Lake Rottnen, just a stone's throw from the accommodation and camping pitches. There's a sandy beach and a long bathing jetty to sunbathe on, jump off and swim from. The water stays shallow a long way out, making the beach ideal for families with children, while the jetty gives keen swimmers a quick route to deeper water. Bring swimwear, a towel and something tasty from the kiosk — the perfect place to spend a summer's day.
